Virginia Moody Wright passed away on May 8, 2022, due to the effects of covid after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Virginia was born in Annapolis, Maryland on March 7th, 1942 to Alton B. Moody and Ruth Leah Isbell Moody. Her childhood home was in Camp Springs, Maryland in the Washington D.C. area where her father was a Naval Officer. She was the 2nd oldest in her family with Catherine Hunter her older sister and Evelyn Winward, Will Moody and David Moody as her younger siblings. She graduated from Surrattsville High School. She married Norman Dale Wright of Murray Utah on June 5th, 1961.

She graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in Clothing and Textiles. She was a devoted mom to four boys (Stuart Ian, Norman Sean, Gregory Jean Paul, and Christofer Hans). She later graduated with an MPA in Health Care Administration from BYU and worked at Intermountain Health Care as a Strategic Planner. The Women’s Centers within the IHC system are part of her legacy. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Relief Society and Primary. She served with her husband in the Young Single Adult ward in the stake and in the Missionary Training Center and in the Timpanogos Temple. They also served together as humanitarian missionaries in Belarus, an opportunity which she felt changed her life forever, and as an office couple in the Russia Moscow Mission where she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. She was very active in family history. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved weaving, skiing, word games, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Christofer and her sister Evelyn.

Virginia is survived by her husband Dale, three sons: Stuart (Lori), Norm (Dolly) and Greg, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and we will miss her.
