They both ran into each other at the skating rink in Provo. She thought he was dressed weird with bright yellow socks, bleached hair, that had been permed, and skates that lit up. Edward skated passed her and poked her in the belly. He told her he was gonna marry her some day. She couldn’t believe it. But he had a big surprise waiting for her. Ed joined the Army and came home on a furlough went straight to her house and pursued her for a date. It was the best date she had been on. That one date ended up a few more dates and they were Married on June 30, 1948. Which made her just a little shy of being 18. In spite of the odds against them with their young age, there marriage worked well for many years. At Edwards passing they were just shy of there 53rd wedding Anniversary.

They made there first home in Orem, Utah, where they had 6 Amazing children. She has many accomplishments from raising her children, grandchildren, their friends, or anyone needing a place to stay. She was a self taught homemaker, teaching herself how to sew, cook, and take care of the household things. Latch hooking became her favorite talent. She latch hooked The Last Supper with over 800,000 knots. it took her at least two years to finish. She then donated this huge piece to the MTC. It is currently on display in Provo.

If she could share what she has learned in life it would be to love one another. Also to let your light shine so that others might see your good work. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints with many callings, from Primary teacher, to Relief Society Teacher. She always had a place for everything and everything in it place. She is survived by her amazing children Brenda Prestwich, Rick And Suzy Prestwich, Cindy and Thane Ferre. Over 80 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grand children. With 20 Great Grandchildren.
