Later, he became director of development marketing for BYU, and still later director of the Central Utah Health Care Foundation. After retirement, he became an adjunct English teacher at Utah Valley University.

Paul met his angel companion, Patricia Lee Olsen, in kindergarten. They were married June 6, 1962, in the Salt Lake Temple. "l struck gold," he said.
