Laura Johnson

Laura Jean Johnson 87 of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022.

She was born on January 12, 1935, in Hurricane, Utah to Warren Glenn Johnson and Emily Wilkinson. She married Fred J. Miller on Jan 12, 1954, later divorced. She then married Karol B, Neilson on May 22, 1965, they later divorced. Laura had a long relationship with Neldon Lee Fox, after his passing they were married in the Payson Temple,

Laura was 1 of 3 people certified by NASA to bond the units used in space travel.

She was a cook at an oil rig in Wyoming, they worked at the 10,000' level on top of a mountain.

She worked at K Mart for several years, there she was manager of the jewelry department and electronics manager, she took early retirement in 1998.

She worked at Data Pad from 1998 – 2005. There she retired due to health issues.

Laura had no children but is survived by sisters AnnaLee Walker of Lindon Utah, Colleen Marshall of Orem, Utah, Anna Marie Johnson of Ceder City, Utah, and Glenda (Jerold) Nelson of Spanish Fork, Utah. Ada Wilcox (Ken) deceased of Battle Mountain, Nevada, Brothers, Dalton Meeks Virgin, Utah, and Heber (Barbara) Meeks of Murray, Utah. Several nephews and Nieces who she loved very much.

Funeral services will be on June 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. At the LDS Orem Chapel located at 990 N 100 W Orem, Utah. A viewing will be from 9:30 – 10:30 on the day of the funeral. Laura will be buried at the Hurricane cemetery on Friday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m.  Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State in Orem are handling the arrangements.
