Kathryn Rodabaugh

August 26, 1940 — January 19, 2022

Lehi, Utah

Kathryn Elizabeth Rawlins Rodabaugh, Age 81, of Lehi, Utah, died January 19, 2022. She was born August 26, 1940, daughter of Boyce Rawlins and Millie Mae Sutton.

Kathryn married Jack C. Kofford, and they had three children. After their divorce, she married the love of her life, Luther (Chub) Rodabaugh, on March 21, 1974. Family was the most important thing to her, and she was always there for them. She loved working in the school cafeteria so she could be home when her kids got home from school. Kathryn excelled at everything she tried, including drying flowers, tole painting, needle work, sewing, quilting, crafting, decorating, and baking. She enjoyed traveling and saw many parts of the world, but her favorite get-away was Lake Powell, where she enjoyed many wonderful trips with her family. In December 1981 Kathryn and Chub opened Chub’s Automotive Repair in Orem. They helped raise their granddaughter, Jessica. Beginning in 1994 Kathryn was challenged greatly by the loss of her son, her husband, and her mother within 18 months. And yet, she always maintained her caring, happy, sweet disposition. The birth of her grandchildren added to her joy, and she was always involved in their lives. During this time she was also caring for her oldest daughter, Laura, who was homebound and suffered from multiple sclerosis. Laura died in 2014. The many dogs she cared for during her life brought her much happiness. She eventually sold her home and moved in with her daughter, Amy. Then she became a resident of Covington Senior Living where she was loved and cared for in her final two years.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter Amy (Mark) Walker; granddaughter, Jessica Eddie (Branden Giacoletto); brother Peter (JoAnn) Rawlins; sister-in-law, Shirley Rawlins; 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild she is now getting ready to join our family. She was preceded in death by her father, Boyce Rawlins (1949); son, James Randy Kofford (1994); husband, Luther Fred (Chub) Rodabaugh (1995); mother, Millie Mae Sutton Rawlins (1996); daughter, Laura Kofford Mesa (2014); sister-in-law, Ila Jean Kofford (2021); brother, Bert Rawlins (2021); and many of her furry friends.
