We mournfully announce the passing of Janet Moss Hatch, 65, of South Jordan, Utah. Janet passed on July 28th, due to complications of diabetes, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Orem, Utah, on September 23, 1956 to Bud and Sena Moss. She attended Orem schools and graduated from Orem High in 1974. She was married to Donald Eugene Lunceford, later divorced. She married Larry Hatch in 1988.

She started her career in Data Entry at The Daily Herald in Provo, Utah. She was later employed at WordPerfect and Franklin-Covey. Janet was clocked typing at a speed of 123 words per minute. Janet loved the outdoors and traveling, she spent a lot of time 4-wheeling and camping in the Moab area with her many friends. She is well known and loved for her contagious smile and sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband Larry, son Ryan Lunceford and stepdaughter Rachael (Cinthya) De La Torre, her brother Royd Moss, sisters VaNiece (Robert) Carter and Sonya (Stan) Deveraux, 7 grandkids, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents.

As per Janet’s wishes, her remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem Utah.
