Jack Craig Baxter

December 20, 1952 ~ February 23, 2020 (age 67)

Obituary

Jack Craig Baxter, son of Jack Baxter and Elaine Justesen Baxter, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on February 23, 2020.

Jack was born December 20, 1952, in Dragerton, Utah, then raised in Spring City, Utah. He attended Snow College and earned an Associate Degree. Even though legally blind, he did not allow this to slow him down. He maintained an apartment and worked enough years at the University of Utah to secure himself a pension.

In 2012, Jack suffered a near-fatal fall that left him paralyzed, and for this reason, he resided at the Holladay Health Center for the past seven years. He was so admired for his amazing attitude, witty personality, and inspired many daily.

Jack was very strong in his faith.  He loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Book of Mormon, proudly being a Republican, Square Dancing, the TV Show Gunsmoke, John Wayne movies, Elvis Presley and his sweetheart Mary's chicken enchilada's.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Elaine Baxter, brother David Baxter, sister Baby Girl Baxter, Grandparents Ben and Blanche Justesen, Mr. and Mrs. Puzey.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holladay Healthcare Center, 4782 South Holladay, Blvd, Holladay, Utah on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 10 -11 am. Following the Memorial, a Graveside Service and Burial will take place at the Spring City Cemetery at 2 pm.

Jack will be dearly missed by family, friends, and his most devoted, loyal best friend and sweetheart of 30 years, Mary Clayton.

We wish to extend a very special Thank You to all of his caregivers at Holiday Health Center. In Jack's words, "Every day is a Holiday at Holladay."
