Eileen Ogden

Eileen L. Ogden, 84, of Orem, Utah, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022. She was born Jan. 11, 1938, to Ernest A. Wyss and Evelyn L. Ryan Beckstead. She married DeVon M. Ogden on Sept. 14, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Eileen was an elementary school teacher. She loved children and was a favorite of her grand-and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cake decorating, shopping, hosting dinners, traveling, and throwing tea parties for her great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ and served in many callings including Relief Society advisor at BYU while DeVon was bishop and a senior missionary in Kirtland, Ohio.

Eileen is survived by three children: Lynette (Cordell) Gomm of Mansfield, Texas; Joseph Ogden of Highland, Utah, and John (Amy) Ogden of Alpine, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Suzanne, sister Betty Lou, and her parents.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Hillcrest 4th Ward located at 440 East 800 South, Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
