Dana Lamont Wilson (53) was born December 3, 1966 in Provo Utah to Joseph Shelton Wilson and Dorothy A. Wilson. He died November 12, 2020, at his home in Orem, Utah, from the effects of Covid-19. He was born a twin, but the twin passed away at birth and Dana suffered brain damage which left him a special, deep feeling individual for the rest of his life. He was honored to be a graduate from Mt. View High School in 1989.
He cared passionately about everyone he knew and was loved by all who took the time to move beyond his rough appearance and look into his gigantic heart. He leaves behind his beloved dog and companion, Dori, whom he cherished for over seventeen years.
He loved Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. He spent much time there as a child. As a result, each year for over a decade he raised money and gifts for the sick children by performing an Elvis Presley Christmas Concert. It was wildly successful and supported by those who loved him.
He also loved the Orem Institute of Religion and Utah Valley University, where he could be found walking the halls, attending an auto-body, religion or music class and talking to everyone. He was famous for going from office to office looking for chocolate or watering plants.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions only a graveside service will be held for close friends and family on Monday, November 23rd, at 11:00 am in the Orem City Cemetery located at 1520 N 800 E Orem, Utah 84097.
A special thanks to the Orem City Police Department for their special care and kindness towards Dana.
