Dale Hemenway

Dale Elwood Hemenway 87 of Orem Utah passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born January 18, 1935, in enterprise Utah to Wenzel and Marva Adair Hemenway he married  Joan Nelson on May 16, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Provo high school in 1953.  He joined the National Guard shortly after graduation and served for six years.

In 1957 he graduated as a journeyman ironworker. He retired as an ironworker after 27 years then went to work at Orem city where he retired after 11 years.  He loved welding!!! He modified everything from bikes to cars.  He felt like his greatest accomplishment in life was his family all 117 of them!! He loved all outdoor activities and loved spending time at the cabin with his family.  He was a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.   His favorite calling was the nursery.

Dale is survived by his wife of 64 years, his children; Lori (Justin) Skillings of Spanish Fork, UT; Becky (Bob) Ballantyne of Highland, UT; Tami (Dale) Bridges of Spanish Fork, UT; Leslie (Jon) Ballantyne of Farr West, UT; Darin (Mona) Hemenway of Orem, UT; A brother Arvil, 2 sisters, Donna and Linda. He was preceded in death by his son Shaun (Andrea) grandson Brett Gabbitas and his brother Deloy.

A funeral will be held to honor his life on Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at 11:00 am there will be a viewing right before the service from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the church located on 440 E. 800 S. Orem, UT 84097.   Interment will be at the Orem city cemetery.
