Bruce Gray

Bruce LaVerl Gray passed away January 17th, 2022.

Bruce was born to LaVerl  and Florence Baxter Gray July 22nd, 1941 in Lehi, Utah.  He grew up in Orem, Utah attending schools in Lindon and Pleasant Grove.  Bruce graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1959 where he was active in student government and athletics.  After high school he joined the Army National Guard.  Bruce then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Gulf States Mission.  Bruce married Leean Mower in the Salt Lake Temple on January 17th, 1964.  Bruce graduated from BYU in 1967 with a degree in Health and Safety.  He was a life long fan of BYU sports and supported his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

Bruce is survived by his wife Leean, his brother Kent P. (Kathy), Brother-in-laws; Gary Mower (Charlene), Kevin Mower (Carole), Sister-in-law; Lisa Bardsley and many nieces and nephews.  They have 4 children: Melissa, Todd (Jennifer), Jason (Melody), and Ashley.  They have 11 grandchildren: Harrison (Betty), Nolan (Jillian), Gavin, Tanner, Sofie, Emmie, Darby, Baylor, Heston, Porter, Brenner, and 3 great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Evelyn, and Hazel.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 N. 650 E., Provo, UT.  A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20 at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, UT.
