Vera worked in the pediatric department at the American Fork Hospital from 1981 until she retired in 1993. Vera was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission with her husband at the BYU Family History Library. She and Tom also served as temple ordinance workers in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples. Vera enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, and travelling. She had a special ability to always see the good in other people and she treated everyone with respect. She enjoyed reading and made numerous quilts for each of her children and grandchildren.
