Venice Powell Breinholt

May 14, 1942 — May 16, 2025

South Jordan

Venice E. Powell Breinholt, age 83, passed away peacefully in her Sagewood Residence in South Jordan, UT on May 16, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1942 to Clinton Lavell Powell and Margaret Elizabeth O’ Neil. She was the youngest of 2 children. Venice was born with a strong personality. Arriving severely premature and weighing just 2 lbs. and 14 oz., she approached life with a fighting will. This incredible strength served her well as she successfully overcame every obstacle life had to offer.

One of her early joys in life came from music. She sang in many choirs, and had an incredible talent for playing the clarinet; often sitting first chair in her high school and college bands. After high school, Venice attended Carbon Jr. College where she made many lifelong friends and proudly served as President of the Lambda Delta Sigma Sorority. Her continuing education then took her to Utah State University in Logan, which held a special place in her heart throughout her life.

On January 24, 1964, she married her sweetheart, Frank Dennis Breinholt, for time and eternity in the Manti, UT temple and together they had 7 children. Venice had the wonderful opportunity of being a stay-at-home mother and dedicated her life to raising her children and creating a loving home for her family. After raising her children, she had the opportunity of accompanying her husband as he traveled extensively for work, visiting several countries and fulfilling a lifelong dream of being able to “see the world”. But her greatest joys came from being with her family; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved summer camping trips in her trailer, surrounded by family, making memories that would last a lifetime.

Venice had an unshakable testimony of and an amazing love for Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, she held multiple church callings, served at the Provo MTC, and completed a humanitarian Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by 6 of her children: Randie (Rich) LeBaron, Michael (Tricia) Breinholt, Jodi (Michael) Hutchings, David (Linette) Breinholt, Bethany (Jared) Anderson, JP (Patricia) Breinholt; 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, John Allen Breinholt, and the love of her life and eternal companion, Frank.

The sting of death is swallowed up in Christ as she is reunited with her loved ones on the other side of the veil. (Mosiah 16:8)
