Val Taylor Duncan, age 83 of Lindon, Utah, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
He was born June 17, 1942, in Fremont, Utah, to Homer and Tressa Duncan.
He was a mischievous student infamous for tipping over outhouses. One of his treasured memories from growing up was his horse.
He completed a course in auto mechanics at Utah Trade Technical School.
On September 21, 1963, he married the love of his life, JaLene Marshall, in the Manti LDS Temple.
Val lived a life of service to his community. He donated his time and skills to neighbors and friends, held various leadership positions in the LDS church, and retired as an employee of Springville City. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family. He was known for saying, “keep smiling so people will wonder what you are up to.”
He is survived by three children: Cindy Kim, John Duncan, and Amelia Adams; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th, at 11:00 am at Springville City Cemetery, 400 South 200 West, Springville, UT 84663
A celebration of life will be held at his residence from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
