Teresa Marie Douglas Lindsay

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Teresa Marie Douglas Lindsay, who peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on June 7, 2026, at 12:07 p.m., at the age of 61.

Born on November 26, 1964, Teresa lived a life marked by faith, determination, service, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought strength and comfort to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Teresa was raised in Suitland, Maryland, by her mother, Ginetta Douglas, alongside her brother, John Douglas. She often spoke lovingly of her upbringing and the lifelong friendships she formed during those early years. From a young age, Teresa had a natural ability to connect with people and a gift for maintaining deep, lasting relationships throughout her life.

After graduating, Teresa moved to Texas, where she began a new chapter of independence and growth. There she met her half-sisters, Debbie and Laura, and worked in the fitness industry, managing health clubs. Texas was also where she became a mother to her beloved children, Brooklyn and Dillon, a role that became the center of her heart and identity. She adored being a mother and poured unconditional love, strength, and devotion into raising her children.

After nearly a decade in Texas, Teresa returned to Utah to be closer to her mother and brother. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ross Lindsay. The two were married on April 15, 2005, and were later sealed in the sacred Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple. Together, they built a beautiful life founded on faith, love, and devotion, and spent the next 21 years raising their five children and creating a home filled with cherished memories.

Teresa was a dedicated mortgage loan officer who took great pride in helping others achieve their dreams of homeownership. She believed strongly in hard work and was known for her remarkable energy and drive. Family and friends often described her as the “Energizer Bunny” because she was always on the go, always serving, always accomplishing something, and always finding ways to help those around her. Her excellence and dedication were recognized when she received National Recognition as Businesswoman of the Year twice. A reflection of the respect she earned and the standard she set in her industry.

Above all, Teresa’s greatest treasure was her family. She was a devoted mother and a deeply faithful wife to her husband. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to each of her grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her love for her family was constant, fierce, and unconditional.

Teresa loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith guided every part of her life and gave her strength through every season. She found joy in serving others, temple work, staying active, traveling, working out, and spending time with those she loved. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on countless lives.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Ross Alexander Lindsay; her daughter, Brooklyn Ashy Souder with her husband, Gary Souder and their three children, Sky, Aero and Sunny; her grandson Tatum Crew Ashy; her stepdaughter, Ashley Sisson with her husband, Kyle Sisson and their two children, Henry and Emmett; Amber Claridge with her husband, Javan Claridge; her stepson, Alexander Lindsay; her brother, John Douglas with his wife, Lauren Douglas, and their six children, Joseph, Benjamin, Joshua, Brenley, Sophie, and Ella.

She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Dillon Chase Ashy, and her mother, Ginetta Douglas. We find comfort in imagining the joyful reunion that took place as Teresa was welcomed home by those she had long missed.

Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are grateful for the love she gave, the faith she shared, and the example she set. Her legacy lives on in her family, in the lives she touched, and in the countless memories that will forever be treasured. Teresa’s light, love, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem. A graveside service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
