Tamara Herman

November 25, 1964 — January 10, 2021

Tamara Adell Hair Herman, 56, Born November 25, 1964 in Provo Utah to Lenard Dee and Alice Pace Hair. Passed away January 10,2021 at UVRMC from Covid Pneumonia and Chronic Health Issues.

Tami was raised in Provo. Attending Franklin and Maeser Elementary, Dixon Junior High and Provo High Schools she left school after the 10th Grade. She later got her GED and Travel Agents degree. She worked as a Maid at Roadway Inn in Provo, she met many actors and actresses while working there. She was there when the Executioners Song was being filmed. She loved talking with Christine Lahti, Rosanna Arquette and Tommy Lee Jones. She then moved on to work at the Tally Corp. in Spanish Fork. She was a parts runner and later transferred to the North American Arms (NAA) Division. She loved making the smallest and largest handguns at the time. She was a finisher on the line for many years. If Hank Williams Jr. ever takes the grips off his gun, he will find Tami’s and many other workers initials on them. They also did guns for many movies and TV series. Burt Reynolds as BL Stryker used the largest gun and CSI Vegas used one of the smallest. NAA moved to Provo where she continued to move up to Supervisor and Incoming Inspector. She worked for over 30 years for them. When she was bitten by something, and the sore became infected. It was a very rare disease that eventually took her leg in 2015. She went to Orchard Park Rehab to learn to move with just one leg. She was doing very well and came home until they had her prosthetic ready for her to use. She never was able to use it due to the disease getting to her other leg.

Tami had done more things in her short life than most people will do in a lifetime. She was an artist in many ways. From her paintings, ceramics, poems and even a children’s book. Her art teacher gave her a “F” on her sky because purple was never in a sunset. When we visited Hawaii the sunset that night was purple. She had poems published, poems turned into songs and published her own book. She knew the words to almost every song on the radio. It did not matter what genre she knew what the song was as well as the artist. She never met a stranger; people would just start talking to her. It did not matter if we were at dinner, concerts, or anywhere. She would make them feel like they were the only person in the room.

She is survived by Brothers: Robert Steven Hatch of Dairy Fork, John Thomas (Tom) Hair of Payson. Sisters: Alice Rebecca (Becky) Hansen and Annadee Hair both of Provo. Many Nieces and Nephews that adored her.

She was proceeded in death by her parents. Brother Lenard Allen Hair, Sister in-laws Linda Hatch and Sherri Hair. Nephews Tom Hatch, Adam and Travis Hansen, Niece Katti Hair Oman and Great Nephew Drake Warner.
