Sylvia Margarita Atkin

Sylvia Atkin (Pratt) was born on January 3, 1953, in Sonora Mexico, to McKay and Teresa Pratt. She peacefully passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 71, in Orem, Utah. Sylvia is survived by her husband, Rick Atkin, her daughters Teresa Saez, Brandi Christensen (Derek), and Lisa Chipman (Richard) and one son Rickie Atkin, along with 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKay and Teresa Pratt, her grandson's Trent Saez, and Chandler Atkin.

Sylvia dedicated over 30 years of her life to working at BigLots, where she formed lasting friendships and made a significant impact. Outside of her professional life, Sylvia found joy in her Nash Metropolitan, often participating in car shows during the weekends. Her love for cars not only brought her happiness but also helped her build a "family of friends" within the car community.

Sylvia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, finding solace and community in her place of worship. Her faith was a light in her life, shaping her values and interactions with those around her.

Sylvia Atkin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
