Suzanne "Sue" Nelson Hurst

Suzanne Nelson Hurst, age 87 of Provo, Utah passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was born of goodly parents on February 17,1939 in Provo, Utah to Laura Probst and Verne S. Nelson. She married Leon Hurst in 1958, and they were sealed in the Logan temple.

Sue graduated from Provo High and Utah Technical college with a degree in nursing and worked for Central Utah Medical Clinic for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, cooking, and baking. No one ever left her home hungry. She loved playing games with her family. She was a loving wife and excellent mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Sue was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She loved serving a mission with her husband in Frankfurt, Germany. They also served as service missionaries for several years at the Bishops' Storehouse.

She is survived by her 4 children: Scott, Terri, Kelli and Kevin: 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, and 1 grandchild.

An evening viewing will be held Thursday, September 17th from 6-8 pm at the Grandview 10th ward meeting house (1600 N. 1880 W. Provo, Ut). A Graveside Service for her family will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Orem City Cemetery.
