Shelba Williams Tingley

Shelba Williams Tingley passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 95, at her daughter’s home in Orem, Utah.

She was born on July 22, 1928, in Malad, Idaho. As a teenager her family moved to Salt Lake City, and she was raised by her amazing mother, along with her two brothers and two sisters.

She married John Tingley on November 22, 1951, he preceded her in death on January 1, 2011.  They began their life together in Southern California.  They had three daughters within three years. (Christine, Janet, Denise).  They later moved to Orem, Utah and spent two years in Seattle Washington, and returned to their permanent home in Orem.

Shelba was a strong, determined, kind and caring woman.  Family and home always came first.

Shelba is survived by her daughters: Christine (James) Graham of Orem, Utah and Janet Rees of Coalville, Utah.  Five grandchildren (Anthony Morelli, Christine Morelli, Mathew Rees, Jason Young and Brandon Young). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren (Brooklynn Wadley, Joslynn Wadley, Lucia Morelli, Roman Morelli, Autumn Young, Mason Young, Peyton Young and Cash Young).  Sister-in-law Venetta Williams and many loving nieces and nephews.

Shelba was preceded in death by her 2 sisters (Nadine and Delaine) and 2 brothers (Gene and John) son-in-law (Richard Rees) and her youngest daughter Denise (Greg) Young.

Funeral services will be graveside on Monday, August 14th, 11:00a.m. at Orem City Cemetery (1520 North 800 East Orem, Utah)
