Rory Dean Symons, 37, of Orem, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025. He was born March 20, 1988, in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, to Rowdy Dean Symons and Ginger Jackson Symons.
Rory’s joyful, charismatic, creative, and fun personality would shine especially when engaging with children, playing video games, or board games with friends and family. His love and taste for music was broad and diverse. He enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing, crawdad catching, and the outdoors in general. He loved all sports, but most of all lacrosse, soccer, football, and wrestling. Rory was also an avid scouter, enjoying the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He worked both at Timber Line Scout Camp and the Cub Scout Camp Jeremiah Johnson during his time in Scouting. He also worked in the construction field, becoming proficient in many areas, and was working towards completing his certification as an electrician. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew, brother, and father. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings and assignments.
Rory is survived by his two children: Camyrn and Rekker; Parents Rowdy and Ginger Symons of Orem, Utah; His sibling’s Brianna (Nick) Symons of Sandy, Utah; Jacob (Maddie) Symons of Eagle Mountain, Utah; Melissa Symons of Orem, Utah.
Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lakeridge 6th Ward Chapel located at 80 West 900 South, Orem, Utah. Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, Cemetery at a later date.
