Ronald K. Farrimond returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Born on August 10, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Remor and George Farrimond, Ron lived a life of deep faith, selfless service, and unwavering devotion to his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
On April 23, 1977, Ron was sealed for time and all eternity to his sweetheart, Lois Kristine Bean, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their 48 years of marriage were a testament to their love, faith, and shared commitment to eternal covenants.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always ensured his family was cared for and loved. He had a passion for photography, animals, and the outdoors. He was often found working in the yard or discovering new places to explore. He loved feeding the fish, raccoons, birds, and squirrels around the house — a small act that showed his care for all living things.
In his youth, Ron was an accomplished swimmer and baseball player. As he grew older, he found joy in coaching youth football and baseball. He also had a lifelong interest in politics and was deeply engaged with how they shaped the world around us.
Professionally, Ron spent most of his career as an accountant, auditor, and real estate investor. He attended Brigham Young University, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and later received his MBA from Southern Oregon University. He was a highly respected professional, holding multiple certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA). He also served for many years as President of both local and regional chapters of the Internal Audit Association.
Ron loved living in Florida. In his later years, he enjoyed being near the beach and all the adventures Orlando had to offer. He faithfully tracked rocket launches from Cape Canaveral and cherished visiting amusement parks with his family. Whether it was Star Wars, Disney princesses, Harry Potter, or Marvel superheroes, he delighted in watching his children and grandchildren experience the magic. He especially enjoyed SeaWorld concerts and shows — with dolphins and orcas among his favorites.
As a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ron served faithfully in many church callings throughout his life. His most cherished roles were as a Primary teacher, Sunday School President, and ministering brother. He truly embodied Christ-like service, always seeking ways to help those in need.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Kris Farrimond; his children: Mary (Lance) Ence, Tina (Laramy) Ray, Dan (Rachelle) Farrimond, and Annie Farrimond; 12 grandchildren: Ethan, Mason, Porter, Conor, Amelia, Paisley, Kinsley, Cohen, Max, Emelie, Ivy, and Kaylee; and one great-grandchild, Oaklynn. He is also survived by his brother, Ken Farrimond. He was preceded in death by his mother, Remor, and sister Carrie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 South State Street., Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
