Ramat Ole Saibull passed away on June 30, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, teacher, and friend whose life was marked by faith, service, humility, and love. He was born on September 7, 1956, in Arusha, Tanzania, to Kidemi and Rose Ole Saibull.
He met his beloved wife, Edith Kapemba, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. They were married for 40 years and built a life centered on family, faith, and devotion. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Albert, Bernhardt, and Cuthbert.
Ramat graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and spent most of his life as a mechanical engineer at the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania.
He was a man of quiet strength, wisdom, and dedication, and he blessed many lives through his work, example, and kindness. He found great joy in serving the Lord as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the mission presidency, stake presidency, and bishopric. His testimony of Jesus Christ was evident not only in the callings he held but also in the way he loved, served, taught, and lifted those around him.
Ramat also had a deep love for cars and spent many happy hours in his garage building, repairing, and restoring them. He also loved dairy farming and found joy in spending time on his farm, caring for his cattle and chickens.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Edith, and his sons, Bernhardt and Cuthbert. Though his passing brings deep sorrow, his family finds comfort in the Savior’s promise of resurrection and in the knowledge that families can be together forever through the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
