Patsy "Pat" Sherman

November 16, 1944 — November 19, 2020

Patsy Thompson Sherman of Orem, Utah, passed away Thursday, November 19th, 2020, three days after her 76th birthday. She was born in 1944 in Mesa, Arizona to Edith Johnson and was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Patsy preferred to be called Pat, and was an adept (and sometimes stubbornly dangerous) rider of her Jazzy Motorized Wheelchair. She was a fashion model in her early years, a creative and clever Mother, and a graduate of Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Education with a minor in Psychology. She was a talented fine artist, earning awards for her watercolors, sculptors, and oil paintings. She was beloved for her infectious musical laugh, her spunk and sense of humor, and always had a thoughtful gift for any visiting grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her children: Kym Thompson of (Provo?), Utah; Shannon Thompson of (Bainbridge Island?), Washington State; Heather Duckwitz of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Katie Thompson of New York, New York; Sarah Gallie of Hyrum, Utah; (16) grandchildren, and (2) great-grandchildren (child). She is preceded in death by her daughter Athena Thompson.
