Myra LaVerne Allen Ledyard

Myra LaVerne Ledyard , 83, of Orem, Utah, passed away May 11th, 2026. She was born September, 27th 1942, at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Utah to Thomas Allen and Kate Wilcox. She married Jack Charles Ledyard on December 23, 1960, in a ceremony at home in Chico, California. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on July 8, 1963 and married for 64 years before his passing in April 2025.

Myra was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was well loved by all of her family and many friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and the lively banter when they were all together. She grew up in Chico, California with her parents and 3 siblings. She married Jack when she was a Senior and a few months later graduated from Chico High.. Myra loved to serve in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints and had many callings through the years. She moved frequently and lived in many towns in the States of California, Oregon, Utah Washington and Alaska. She stayed very busy. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, her grandchildren and reading. Mostly, scriptures, biographies and church books. She loved learning new things and often took classes. She enjoyed traveling and would jump in the car for any adventure, whether big or small. She was so grateful she was kept on this earth long enough to see and have an influence over her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Myra is survived by her 5 children Terrie (Todd) Wood of Palo Cedro, California, Sherri (Matt) Ence of Minden, Nevada, Susan (Bill) Treaster of Townsend, Montana, John (Wendy) Ledyard of Lindon, Utah, Delcie (Angel) Lopez of Washington Terrace, Utah, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters (Shirlee and Pennie) and 1 brother (Tom). She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Charles Ledyard.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Park 4th Ward LDS chapel located at 114 South 400 West, Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday. morning, just prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a..m. at the church. Burial will be at Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
