On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Millie Rubey Foster Cheesman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 98.
She was born to Estella and Hugh Foster and grew up during the depression. She married Paul Cheesman and they were married 47 years at the time of her beloved Paul’s passing. They raised five sons and one daughter. She was very devoted to her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint-serving valiantly in every auxiliary, and using her musical talents to bless many. She was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 1967-1972. She was an author, screen writer, and composer. She and her husband served as mission presidents of the Louisiana, Baton Rouge Mission from 1980-1983 and as directors of the New York City Visitors center for the church in 1991 during which time Paul passed away.
She had a quick wit and was kind and loving to all who knew her. She lived in Idaho, Utah, California, Florida, and at the time of her passing, was living in California. She had 6 children, 32 grandchildren, and with the upcoming birth of 4 more greatgrandchildren, will have had 90 great grandchildren!
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and two sons, Ross and Douglas and Doug’s wife Lark. She is survived by Brian (Creta) Cheesman, Gail Cheesman, Larry (Carol) Cheesman, LeeAnn (Rob) Olson, and Jay (Kathy) Cheesman.
Funeral services will be December 8, 2022, at 114 S. 400 W. Orem, UT (Orem Park 2nd LDS Ward Chapel); 9:30 am- Family and Friends Visitation; 11:00 am- Celebration of Life Services, with graveside services following at the Orem Cemetery to be interred next to her beloved Paul. In lieu of flowers, the family would invite donations to your favorite charity, LDS Humanitarian Aid, or the BYU Scholarship Fund.
