Marilyn Biggs

Marilyn Cluff Biggs, 76, of Orem, passed away October 13, 2022. Marilyn was born in Heber City, Utah on August 14, 1946, to Wendell Moyle Cluff and Vera Giles Cluff.

Marilyn grew up in Midway, Utah.  At the age of 12, she moved with her family to Dillon, Montana and then to Lima, Montana. She attended schools in Dillon, Montana, and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1964. She was very involved in high school. She was the Freshman Class Treasurer; a flag twirler, and active in FHA, Ski Club, Chorus, Beaverettes, Junior Red Cross, Pep Club, and Squad Cheerleader.  She was Homecoming Queen candidate, and Harvest Ball candidate.  After high school, Marilyn attended Ricks College and then attended College of Great Falls.

In 1968 Marilyn moved to Provo, Utah where she met Clyde Biggs. They were married on March 29, 1969 and have lived in Orem ever since. They have five children, four boys and a girl. Family was everything to Marilyn. She loved to have family gathered for any and all occasions.

In 1986 Marilyn started to work for Softcopy; then moved on to Word Perfect and then to Novell doing customer service. She loved her job and the lifelong friends she made while working there. She retired in August 2012.

Marilyn loved to cook and sew. She was an excellent cook and everyone looked forward to what was cooking, especially her potato salad. She loved to sew and was an amazing seamstress. She often made her children’s clothes when they were young. After retiring she began making amazing, beautiful quilts, which are displayed throughout her home.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Clyde, Orem, UT; her five children Warren (Terry) Biggs, American Fork, UT; Mark (Michele) Biggs, Heber, UT; Brad (Ambrey) Biggs, Orem, UT; Scott, Heber, UT; and Kelli (Eddie) Antillon, Orem, UT; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Charlotte (Jim) Given, Sharon (Darwin) Johnson, Larry (Denise) Cluff, Suzie (Randy) Shinkle, sister-in-law Mary (Tom) Carter, brother-in-law Jim Box and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathleen Cluff, brother Harvey Cluff, and sister-in-law Phyllis Box.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sharon 5th Ward LDS church at 545 S. 800 E., Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary located at 495 S. State Street, Orem, Utah and on Friday from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to the services. Burial will be held at Orem City Cemetery.
