LLona Renee Kahlert Ploeger

LLona "Renee" was born to Ada Dolores and Frederick Kahlert on October 28, 1950, in Provo, Utah. Renee passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Frederick Kahlert, Dolores Kahlert, and Willye Golden. Survived by her spouse, her brother, Turney Kahlert, and her 3 Children (daughter, Genie Ploeger, daughter, Renette Miller & spouse Michael & son, Dulain Ploeger & spouse Ruth, along with her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Renee loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She loved spending time with the family, having family parties, baking holiday cookies and candies, wrapping her Christmas presents as she was very creative making them into snowmen, angels, robots, Christmas trees, and trains, a craft she learned from her mother. She had a sense of humor, loved playing games, and loved Donald Duck. She will be greatly missed.

The family invites you to join them in honoring their loved one at the events listed below on Wednesday, July 1st. 2026. A viewing and a light meal, provided by her ward (Stone Gate), will be located at the LDS Church, 4980 West 3285 South, West Valley City, Utah, 84120.

Viewing for family and friends will be 9:00 – 11:00 am, followed by the luncheon from 11:00-12:30 pm.

Graveside services will be held later that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery located at 4800 Northeast Lawn Drive, (650 East), Provo, Utah 84604. For directions, please call (801) 225-9114.
