Larry Lynn Mair 62 of Orem, Utah, husband of Melanie Ferguson Mair, passed away November 7, 2020. He was born December 10, 1957 in Heber City, Utah to Billie Joseph and Ada Lavon Perkins Mair.
Larry graduated from Wasatch High School in 1976. He married Melanie Ferguson June 25, 1982 and was later sealed in the Denver Colorado Temple May 31, 2003. Larry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings.
Larry worked as a mechanic in several capacities as well as the mines in Nevada. He also worked for Midway City, Utah as a jack of all trades.
He served as a marshal for Midway City and was in the Wasatch County Jeep Patrol Search and Rescue. He also served as a Deputy Sheriff in Mineral County, Nevada.
Larry enjoyed serving others and would help friends and neighbors with their cars.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Ada Mair and his brother Billy Mair.
Larry is survived by his wife Melanie, daughter Alexa Mair Christensen (Dean) of Sandy, Utah. Brother Terry (Kena) Mair of Midway, Utah. Sister in-law Cyndi Mair of Round Mountain, Nevada. Three grandchildren, Ryker, Easton and Gracie and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions there will be a small gathering for family at the Sandberg/Olpin Mortuary with the internment at the East Lawn Memorial
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah. Condolences may be expressed to the family on this page.
