It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimball Alan Millet (63), who returned to his Father in Heaven on April 14, 2023, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Kimball was born to O. Leon and Velma P. Millet in Goldsboro, North Carolina, June 3, 1959. The young family moved back to Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Ogden, Utah until the family moved to Provo, Utah when he was a Junior in High School. He worked at the Competition, the coolest clothing store in University Mall while in High School. He graduated from Provo High School and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Wellington, New Zealand. He absolutely loved serving the people there.
Upon returning from his mission, Kimball attended BYU, and became a Stockbroker. He was great with people and could close a sale. He married Amy Ellertson, they later divorced. He was a man who was deeply loved, was known for his kind heart, his quick wit, and his infectious smile. He was spontaneous with a skill for mischief according to those who knew him best. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease, and his presence will be sorely missed. Kimball enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish. He also loved to explore historic settlements in Utah searching for artifacts and “treasures” with friends who didn’t necessarily share his enthusiasm for the search but went with him anyway. Kimball worked with his brother David as successful Painting contractors.
Kimball is preceded in death by his parents, Velma Payne Millet and O. Leon Millet. He is survived by his long-time friend and wife Susan Knight Millet, sisters Julie Burr (Brett), Jennifer Swope (Bret) and brothers David and Randy (Carolee).
Funeral Services for Kimball will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Spanish Fork 4th Ward Chapel located at 353 E. 400 N. in Spanish Fork Utah, with a viewing held from 12:30 pm -1:00 pm prior to the services. He will be laid to rest in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery located at 1997 S. 400 E Street, Springville, Utah. All who knew and loved Kimball are welcome.
