Janice Van Mondfrans Noren March 7, 1972 – August 5, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Janice Van Mondfrans Noren, who returned home on August 5, 2025, at the age of 53. Janice was a vibrant soul who brought creativity and a touch of sparkle to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born on March 7, 1972, Janice lived a happy childhood with her parents and siblings in Orem, Utah. She was an imaginative child who made every day an adventure! She attended Waterford Private School and graduated from Mountain View High School. A highlight of her youth was a trip to Europe, where she fulfilled a dream to stand in front of the masterpieces painted by her favorite artists—a memory she cherished for the rest of her life.

Janice had an extraordinary gift for art and design. She was a skilled jewelry maker, knitter, painter, seamstress, scrapbooker, and quiller. Her hands were rarely still, and her creations were treasured by all who received them. She had a love for teapots, fairies, and the magic of simple, beautiful, and whimsical things. Her personal sense of style was unmatched. She was a true fashionista who could pull together the perfect outfit, complete with her signature hats and accessories. Her creativity also shone in her work in retail fashion, where she designed stunning store and window displays that captured the attention and imagination of all passersby.

Janice poured her heart into the things she was passionate about. As a Cub Scout leader, she went above and beyond to plan imaginative weekly activities and ensure every boy in her group earned his Arrow of Light award. She also volunteered with the radKIDS program, teaching elementary school children important safety skills with warmth and care. As a grandmother, she took deep joy and pleasure in spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

She loved Halloween and could always be counted on to create amazing costumes for her boys, adding her signature flair and creativity to every detail. Her whole family looked forward to seeing her spooky ensemble every year, and her boys were always the talk of the neighborhood.

Janice was a true rock music aficionado. Although she loved Tom Petty and many other rockers, her first love was Ozzy Osbourne. We imagine she’s already searching for him on the other side to take a ride on the Crazy Train with her favorite!

Janice faced long-term health and other challenges that brought excruciating pain and often debilitating difficulty throughout her life. In many ways, her passing brings a sacred sense of release from the suffering she has carried for so long. We take comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain and able to rest in peace.

Janice is survived by her husband, Michael Moore; her cherished sons, Kale Batty and Jacob Noren; her devoted parents, Adrian and Maisie Van Mondfrans; and her siblings, Jennifer Kleinman (Brent), Julia Brandt, Peter Van Mondfrans (Stacey), Jacquelyn Van Mondfrans, and Jeanette Baum (BJ).

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the LDS Chapel located at 1260 South 400 West, Orem with a viewing held that morning at the church from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
