Irene Joyce Krancher

Irene Joyce Krancher, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old.

Irene was born on May 15, 1942, in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Indonesia, to Cornelis Otto Rudolph Hauber and Corrie De Lannoy. From a young age, she was known for her gentle spirit, her strength, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.

She married Jan Adolf Krancher on March 1, 1965, and together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and faith. Irene’s greatest joy was her family; she poured her heart into caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and later her great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Throughout her life, Irene found joy in simple, meaningful things. Some of those things were her woodworking, leather work, cooking, baking, serving others, and spending time with those she loved most. She had wisdom, a warm smile, the cutest Dutch accent, the best laugh, and a way of making every person feel valued and loved. Her love was quiet but powerful, her faith never wavered, and her presence will live on in our hearts forever.

Irene will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses, Glenn Krancher, Sheldon Krancher (Joanna), Corinne Bruno (Ryan); her grandchildren, Kayla Stadler (Florian), Kyle (Gina), Logan, Jazz, Joaquin, Jude, Josephine, Nicole, Aubrey Baldwin (Ethan) and her great grandchildren, Zoë and Dexter; and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Adolf Krancher; her parents, Cornelis Otto Rudolph Hauber, Corrie De Lannoy; her sister, Peggy Sylvia Molleman; and her brother, Robert Melchior Hauber.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Homes, 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
