Erika G. Lacayo aka "Grandma Cookie" , "Grandma Pussy Kitty" , " Vampirita " 81 of Orem, Utah died the morning of July 22, 2014. Erika was born in Bluefields, Nicaragua October 4, 1932 to Pedro and Sarah Vasconcelos. Erika married to Alfredo Ernesto Lacayo with whom they brought to this world 14 beautiful children. She lost 3 before birth. For the community that knew Grandma we will remember you with respect, support and for the lives that she touched. Grandma your love and support for family and extended families in Nicaragua, and beyond... will never be forgotten and will always be times cherished. Grandma Erika is survived by 12 children: Alfredo, Edgar, Ernesto, Maria Dolores, Horacio, Erika, Gilberto, Perla, Egda, Oscar, Mauricio, and Ricardo. Grandma has left this life with over 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren that will follow... We will never forget the gift of love, persistence, and passion for the family Grandma has. This is the way Grandma left this earth, and that is the way Grandma lives on within all of us. "Grandma Cookie" we will always remember your smiles, sayings, and joyous companionship you shared with your grandchildren. You were always gracious in your unconditional love towards the future generations. To those who knew Grandma Erika Lacayo known as "Grandma Cookie" as the one who advocated and spoke up for the principles of Family. Join us to celebrate Erika Lacayo's legacy July 28, 2014 at 12:00 at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary in Orem, Utah. A Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:45 prior to the celebration.
