Edward Douglas Winkleman, age 66 of Orem, Utah, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1957 in Covina, California to Edward Douglas Winkleman and Constance Evangeline Weiss. He married April Gail Pett, in the Provo LDS Temple on June 13, 1980. He bravely battled cancer for seven years and peacefully passed away surrounded by his family. 

Doug grew up in Pasadena, California and graduated from Pasadena High School. He attended Cal Poly Pomona and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning. He owned a business appraisal company and worked for over 35 years. He enjoyed landscaping, the LA Dodgers, and history, particularly the Civil War. He loved taking walks and he loved dogs. He loved classic cars and working on his collection whenever he could. He and April had five children and seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Doug is survived by his wife, April and their five children: Nicole (Justin) of Oregon, Ethan (Katie) of Ohio, Diana (Daniel) of Lehi, Utah, Lee (Bri) of Taylorsville, Utah, and Carol of Orem, Utah and his seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
