Duane Binks

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Duane Ray Binks, age 87, returned to his Heavenly Father on June 11, 2019.

He was born August 21, 1931in Mapleton Utah to Ernest Franklin Binks and Lillian Davis Binks.

Duane was sealed to Colleen Beardall on January 14, 1953 in the Manti Temple.  Duane loved his family which consisted of his wife, 3 children, 15 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren.

Duane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he held many positions over the years.  He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission.  He later served missions with his wife Colleen at the Provo Tabernacle and the Lindon Cannery.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his wife, fishing, golfing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers, and 2 great-grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Colleen Binks, Orem Utah; his children Douglas Binks (Julie) Palmyra Utah; David Binks (Diana) Provo Utah; Kathleen Clement (Kyle) Pleasant Grove Utah and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We would like to thank those that have cared for Duane during his last days and to those that have been his friend over the years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 17th, 2019 at 12 pm at the Sharon 8th Ward, 545 South 800 East Orem, Utah.  Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetry.  There will be a viewing from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday night at the Sundberg-Oplin Funeral Home and an additional viewing at the church prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed to the family on this page.
