Dora LuGene Williams

Dora Lugene Williams, age 80, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.

She was born on October 24, 1945, in Elko, Nevada, to Dora Shelton and Rodney Sylvester Williams. Known to her family as “Genie,” she will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her best.

Genie was quiet and shy, but she was also fiercely loyal to her family. She was the youngest of five children and the only girl. Growing up with four older brothers gave her an endearing sense of humor and a love for good-natured teasing.

There were three things Genie loved above all else: her family, her mother’s cooking, and her puppies. Her dogs were her constant companions and closest friends—they were her babies. Genie will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Rodney Williams, as well as her brothers, Duane, Gerald, Richard, and Gary.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 North Street East. Salt Lake City, Utah.
