David Bennion Judd, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and friend, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born on July 10, 1954, in Provo, Utah, to James Sevy Judd and Edna Bennion. On July 1, 1976, he was sealed to the love of his life Sherry Billeter in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Dave leaves a tremendous legacy as he impacted the lives of all those he came across. He is Big Judd, a man with a giant heart. His generosity and love extended from the little league baseball diamonds, to scout camps, to youth activities, to everything he did. Dave cherished his time spent with the youth where he taught, served, and loved in the Lord’s way. Dave loved his service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the Young Men, Elders and in the bishopric. Dave considered the young men he served as his best friends.
Some of Dave’s most fun times were singing and laughing with his friends, neighbors, and ward members. Dave loved food and whether you shared pizza, doughnuts, or Saturday morning breakfast there was always plenty of open arms, laughter, and a spirit of fellowship and friendship. Dave loved being “The Pizza Baron” and sharing life and love with his friends. Dave was a friend to everyone.
Family was important to Dave. His bond to his parents and siblings enriched all our lives. He had an intense desire to keep family bonds strong. His children are grateful for the love and support of his brothers and sisters and their families:
Jim Jr. and Joanne Judd
Richard “Pink” Judd
Mariba and Paul Jacobsen
Muriel and Mike Kanan
Bob and Deanna Judd
Steve and Chris Judd
Craig Judd
The love that is shared with his brothers and sisters stands as a lasting testimony to our family. Dave has a great love for all members of the Judd, Billeter, and Ottley families. We all know and feel Dave’s love!
Dave’s most important legacy is his wife, children, and grandchildren. In his home, Dave taught the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. His testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is rich and powerful. Dave taught the importance of priesthood ordinances, love to each other, and service to God. Dave lived what he preached. His testimony including his most tender feelings are known by all those he holds dear.
Dave and Sherry are a true love story! They are fiercely loyal, deeply devoted, and madly in love! True eternal companions! He is survived by his children and grandchildren:
Dave and Rebecca: Zachary, Chloe, Brody, and Jaxon
Schuyler and Erin: Trevor, Ellary, Kenna, Presley
Marinda and Ryan: Hunter and Hazel
Lydia and Ben: Gavin, Casey, Tyler and Brenna
Richard and Emily: Hyrum, Caleb, Lucas
We are blessed to call him Dad and Grandpa.
We invite all to join us in honoring Dave.
