Clinton Talmadge Bell, Jr.

Clinton Talmadge Bell, Jr. (Talmadge) 79, of Orem, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.  He was born September 5, 1943, in San Diego, California to Mercedes Colunga and Clinton Talmadge Bell.  He married his high school sweetheart Sharon Lee Bonner on November 18, 1966, in Rialto, California.  Talmadge and Sharon joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in June 1967, and in 1968 they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple for time and all eternity.  He and Sharon have 10 living children and 1 child who died at birth.  All 10 of their living children were also married and sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint temples.

Talmadge's greatest loves were his family, music, and learning.  He never hesitated to open his home to take in family, friends, and even strangers. He had a passion for music his entire life, playing in orchestras and bands in high school, college, and beyond.  He served in the U.S. military from 1965 - 1969 playing the Saxophone and Bassoon in the Air Force band.  He graduated from Pepperdine College with a degree in music. He loved teaching and composing music. He was a lifelong learner and his adventurous soul fully embraced every opportunity to learn new things.

Talmadge is survived by his wife, Sharon and 10 of his 11 children: Michelle (Judd) Boehme, Russell (Judi) Bell, James (Joni) Bell, Lorien (Rick) Anderton, Jeremy (Sarah) Bell, Joshua (Emily) Bell, Tiffany (Jason) Cook, Uillame (Katie) Bell, Clinton (Leesa) Bell, and Kyndra (Michael Lund; 31 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and two of his four siblings, Evie (Tony) Lopez and Thomas Teeters, Jr.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Catherine and his siblings Tony (Tiny) Tangeri and Talmadge Lee Bell.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Provo Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah.
