Chloe Elaine Jenkins was born on April 22, 1932, to William Sanders Jenkins and Betsy Luceen Cook Jenkins. She passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 93 with family members near. She was the 12th child and youngest in her family. She was born in Springville, Utah. She lived there, then some time in Idaho and in Spanish Fork, Utah. Graduating from Spanish Fork high school, also being the queen of the Golden Green Ball while in high school was one of her cherished memories.

She met and eventually married the love of her life Dwaine Wendell Hales of Provo, Utah. They were married April 3, 1953. He passed away last year on June 24, 2024 at the age of 93. They had three children. They made their home in Provo, Utah and lived there for their married life, celebrating their 71st anniversary last year. She dedicated her life to the care and raising of her family. She was a good cook and loved to make all the families meals and she took great care of having a meticulously clean home. She loved to draw, paint, and sew when she had a little time. She loved and enjoyed rocks, gemstones and various jewelry and decor that they were used in. They loved Oriental and Native American decor for their home.

When growing up during high school she worked various jobs in Spanish Fork and in the summer worked in Zion’s National Park gift shop areas, serving all the various tourists. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They both loved and took great care of both of their mothers, visiting, cleaning their homes and taking care of their yards weekly until they each passed away.

When the children were grown, they loved to go camping, dune buggying all around the various parks, areas, and southern lands in Utah, for many years. Eventually becoming snowbirds in Arizona for several winters. They enjoyed visits from their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children Kathy (Richard) Johnson of Spanish Fork, Larry (Lora) Hales of Pleasant Grove, and Debora (Jim) Moore of Logan, Utah. And 11 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren with more on the way. She was very proud of her big family and large posterity. She was preceded in death by her husband, her 11 siblings and her parents. She will be greatly missed.

She will have a graveside funeral service only. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Provo, Utah cemetery. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Family and Friends are welcome.
