Bruce Alger

October 24, 1947 — November 27, 2017

We say good-bye to Bruce Edward Alger who passed away November 27, 2017 in his home in American Fork, UT.  He was born October 24, 1947 to Elden R Alger and Hazel Elizabeth Johnstone Alger in Redding, CA. He was 70 years old.

He was passionate about the Boys Scouts of America, riding trains, model railroading, snowmobiling, trail riding on his Artic Cat Prowler, his ward, and his family. He leaves behind many, many friends he has made while pursuing these loves.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Louise Busath Alger; daughters Elizabeth Joy Wells (Jason), Julie Alicyn Johnson (Matthew), Rebecca Allynn Freitas (Nathan), and son Peter Busath Alger (Michele); nine grandchildren: Allynn Wells Rosenhan (Nick), Sydney Wells, Austin Wells, Kelsey Wells, Samuel Johnson, Lola Johnson, Marlayna Freitas, Isabelle Freitas, and Lorenzo Freitas; brother Ralph Elden Alger (Elaine), stepsisters Janet Daniels and Judy Harrison, and half-sister Alicyn Studyvin.

Dedication of the grave and internment will be at the Utah Veteran’s Cemetery on November 30, 2017, 10:00 am, 17111  1700 W, Bluffdale, UT.  A memorial will be held that same day at 1:00pm in the LDS chapel at 680 N 350 W, American Fork, UT.
