Beverly Walker Burgi, 91 of Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2026. She was born on December 17, 1934, in Provo, Utah to Oran Clyde Walker and Viola Baxter Walker. She married Robert George Burgi on Dec 19, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 2, 1960. Robert preceded Beverly in death ten years ago, on May 9, 2015.

Beverly had one brother, Dale, and three sisters, Dora Dean, Betty (her twin), and LaWanna. Beverly’s mother would dress her and Betty alike, and it was difficult to tell them apart. Even in their older age, people sometimes called Beverly by her twin sister’s name. Beverly attended Provo High School and loved to play the viola and violin in the orchestra. She also played the guitar. While Beverly was working at The Cafe in Provo, she met her future husband, Robert Burgi. He had just returned from serving in the U.S. Army. They dated for about two years before they married.

Beverly and Bob raised six children, three girls and three boys. Also, Beverly worked at City Drug, Walgreens, Signetics, and for years at the Cherry Hill stakehouse with her husband as a meetinghouse custodian. She participated on a bowling team for several years and enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and other arts and crafts. Getting together with the family each Summer to go camping is something she looked forward to. After they retired, Bev and Bob appreciated the chance to get away in their RV and enjoy warmer weather close to the Arizona border.

Beverly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including Ward and Stake Librarian for many years, Relief Society President, and as a full-time missionary with her husband in the Washington, Spokane, and the Sydney, Australia Missions. In addition, she spent countless hours in family genealogical research and recording.

Her family remembers Beverly’s gentle, pleasant way, her cheerful laugh, and her willingness to feed the crowd of kids and grandkids who visited. Compassionate service was a lifetime pursuit for her. She was admired for her immaculate flower gardens, crafts, and canning. She remembered birthdays by sending cards, and invited people into her home with a warm hug and a smile. Love was her hallmark and with love she will be remembered.

Beverly is survived by her six children: Craig Burgi (Corrine) of Tracy, California; Linda Holman of South Jordan, Utah; Rodney Burgi (Patsy) of Orem, Utah; Scott Burgi (Lenore) of Neola, Utah; Christine Santamaria of Orem, Utah; and Denise Edwards (Grant) of American Fork, Utah. Also, she has thirty-four living grandchildren, eighty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, and one great-grandbaby.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1700 South 400 East in Orem, with a viewing held that morning from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem,
