DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF SERVICE At the church or the funeral home? The Cascade Chapel at Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home seats 220 people with an overflow of 100 there is a piano and organ available. There is a discount if you have your services at the funeral home. CLOTHING Sundberg-Olpin carries LDS temple clothing for the same price as Beehive if needed. We also carry other clothing items as well, we will be glad to iron any items for you also. OBITUARY You may write this yourself or your funeral director will do it for you and have you proofread it, and send it to the papers you request. Click Here to View a List of Local Obituary Costs CEMETERY Sundberg-Olpin will contact and arrange for you to meet with the cemetery to arrange for the space to be opened or to purchase a space. FLOWERS You may order your casket spray, etc from Sundberg-Olpin, we recommend Valley Floral and they have given us books for our families to select flowers from with their prices, there is no mark up on these items. DEATH CERTIFICATES Sundberg-Olpin will file for the certificate and get as many certified copies as needed, please read the list enclosed for your convenience. MILITARY RITES Sundberg-Olpin will arrange for military rites if possible, at the families request. FUNERAL PROGRAMS Sundberg-Olpin will print the funeral programs and your funeral director will give your family an outline for the service, this is meant as a guideline, you may arrange your service however you like. FUNERAL PLANNING Sundberg-Olpin recommends and offers the Forethought Funeral Plan, as well as trusts, we have a staff to assist you in this area if needed. We also accept transfer of funeral plans previously purchased. SOCIAL SECURITY Sundberg-Olpin will send in notification to social security, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for them to process the information. We suggest you contact them to finalize the death benefit available to a surviving spouse, children under the age of 18, or handicapped children. Your funeral director will give you a pamphlet that explains the benefit, there is an 800 number in pamphlet that connects you directly to a social security representative who will set up a phone interview for you. You must have the death certificate to make this phone call. It is a good idea to call at a time when you do not have anything else to do because they will leave you on hold for quite a while. AUDIO TAPE AND TRANSCRIPTION OF THE FUNERAL With the traditional funeral package Sundberg-Olpin will audio tape the service at your request and also transcribe it for you. You will receive the original tape plus three transcription books. You may purchase additional books from Liz Sundberg for $10.00 each. Let your funeral director know if you need additional copies. BEREAVEMENT SERVICES Our funeral home publishes an article on bereavement twice a month in the Daily Herald. We also have a library and a listing of local support groups and programs available in our area.
