I am sorry to hear that Tom has passed away. He was always helpful and a friend to a young kid when hunting at the Gun Club.

I've known and appreciated TJ for 15 years. I would like to post A poem I wrote many years ago that reminds me of Tom.

A Cowboys Friend

As I sit here by the fire
Dog and boots on either side
My mind wonders to the future
A pleasant trip , I must confide

For I have taken care of business
No regrets, nor worry shall I find
So I'll just sit here with my buddy
You know his name, it's Peace of Mind

The horse is in the stable
And the stocks been bedded down
There's chopped wood out on the back porch
My last trip I've made to town

There's meat and dry goods in the pantry
An I've put oil in every lamp
Spent some time up on the roof last week
to ensure we don't get damp

For there are those who do not listen
and therefore they seal their fate
If you wait until the geese fly south
Well, you're just to dog-gone late

Cause there's a cold wind blowing cowboy
Winter is here, the Autumn is past
And my Friend, we does not visit those
Who wait until the last

So now I'll gather family around me
and include those in a bind
Now close my eyes and welcome with a handshake
My old buddy, Peace of Mind

RIP TJ

I was a classmate of Tom's all through elementary and high School.Tom always added so much to our class. Our class was so small it seems like we all did everything together. Easter time on Keith Hansen's farm to the Olson's farm across the road. We had a couple of reunions down on the farm,. Tom and his son Rob fixed us wounderful meals, always had a good time. Hard to loose another classmate. Marie was also included as a good school friend. What a great time they are having together again.
