David Henry James 1945-2012
After a lengthy illness, David Henry James was called home to serve as a missionary in the Spirit World on April 10, 2012. He was welcomed into the next life by daughter Christine James, sister Beverly Jane Scott, mother Thelma Gubler, and father David Steven James. He will be joined later by his eternal companion, Edith DaLee Clegg James; his children and their spouses, Jennifer and Clyde Munson, Daniel and Adi James, Rebecca Elena James and Amy Elizabeth James; and grandchildren Nevin and Ian Munson and Gareth and Rowan James. He is survived by Rhett and Alice James and Tom and Geraldine Scott.
Preparations for David's mission included serving a full-time Mission in the Gulf States, marriage in the Provo Temple, faithful activity in the LDS Church, and earning a bachelor's degree in Family Relations and a Master's degree in Library Science from Brigham Young University. The highlight in his preparation was being a father to five beautiful children. Love and care from his extended families have been an important part of this process. The wonderful staff of First Choice Hospice helped prepare him for this new experience. On Saturday, April 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., his family will host a missionary farewell celebration at the Orem North Stake Center on 1000 North Main in Orem, Utah. Light refreshments will be served. If you'd like to attend please RSVP to davidhenryjamesmission@hotmail.com.
